All Saint Church
All Saint's Church at Grasby has strong links with the Tennyson family. In 1825, Charles Tennyson Turner, the elder brother of the the poet, Alfred Lord Tennyson became Vicar of Grasby. He had added the name "Turner" to his name on succeeding to the estate of his great-uncle, Samuel Turner of Caistor. During his time as Vicar, the 13th Century Church was rebuilt although the nave arches, the font and the south doorway of the old church remain. Lord Tennyson gave the glass of the east window showing scenes from our Lord's life. Charles Tennyson -Turner married Louis, the niece of Sir John Franklin, the explorer in 1837. The Church today still has some links with the Tennyson family. The present Lord Tennyson is Patron of the Parish.
The Church has a ring of five bells, one having been rung since 1525,another from 1669 and two since 1869. New ringers are always welcomed - practice night most Mondays.
The village is now served by the vicar of Caistor - but a regular pattern of services are maintained. Rev. Ian Robinson
